Welcome to the A.J. Smith Elementary School website! We are very proud of our school and hope you can see that from all our site has to offer. I’m honored to be the Principal of Special Programs and to highlight here a few key facts about A.J. Smith Elementary.

The school has had many grade level configurations over the years, but currently, we house Pre-K through Grade 5 with about 460 students total.

We are proud to offer a rigorous academic program coupled with a warm and nurturing environment. The development of good character and citizenship are at the top of the priority list.

Our character education program has monthly themes that students celebrate in addition to our “bucket filling” theme. When students are bucket fillers, that reminds students to do the right thing, by saying and doing nice things to others. Our staff works collaboratively with weekly team meetings centered around implementing curriculum, assessment, and research-based instructional practice.

We are fortunate to have extremely supportive families who help us in so many ways to educate their children. They value education and we value their support!
