Union Springs HS Presents 'Seussical': A Whimsical Musical Extravaganza

Union Springs High School is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of Seussical, a fantastical musical extravaganza based on the beloved works of Dr. Seuss. The show will be performed this weekend at the Union Springs High School Auditorium, promising an enchanting experience for audiences of all ages.

Directed by Mitchell Fabian, the production features a talented cast of Union Springs students who have dedicated countless hours to bringing the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss to life on stage. From Horton the Elephant to the mischievous Cat in the Hat, audiences can expect to see their favorite characters jump off the pages and into the spotlight with energy and enthusiasm.

Seussical is a heartwarming tale that weaves together the stories of several Dr. Seuss classics, including "Horton Hears a Who," "Horton Hatches the Egg," and "Miss Gertrude McFuzz." Through catchy musical numbers and imaginative storytelling, the show delivers valuable lessons about friendship, loyalty, and the power of imagination.

"Learning individual parts, rehearsing, and performing over 30 different songs is a huge undertaking, and I am immensely proud of the hard work this cast has put in," said Music Director Alex Targett. "The core of this musical is the belief that imagination is powerful. In a world where kids are growing up faster than ever, my heart is happy knowing that the students in this cast have embraced their silliness, creativity, and imagination."
